If someone saw me as only my race

I think you would miss out on most of my personality, and refuse to see my kindness, I would be a shell of who I really am, from your perspective. That's unfair to me and it makes it more difficult to make a real connection with people around you. If someone saw me and recognized me by my stereotype, they may never get a chance to talk to me, to maybe know me behind my race.

What parts of your culture have had the greatest impact?

My family  has made a large impact on my culture, along with friends and social media, your culture is driven by your family when you are younger. but later when you see people and, look at the media more often, it had a large impact on my perspective. My family had always left a huge impression on my humour and how to treat people, while I then had other impacts from social media later, but less impact.

When I do something out of the "norm"

To live in the "norm" is to live a boring life, living outside of a norm is okay and I do things that surprise people all the time, this hardly affects my life, it doesn't make it harder to live, it makes it more interesting. Living in a constant norm is hard for me, i get bored and change plans easily, I don't have to do something with someone elses way, to feel worthy of being normal, or the same as the next person.

A time I was completely lost

My teacher told me, to share a detailed experience in my life and I only knew him for two weeks, I was totally lost on how to answer because he didn't really know me. It's difficult to describe such vivid, and personal experiences, to someone I'm not truly comfortable with. I sat in class not knowing what kind of sad personal experience I was going to use to describe it, and realized I was already lost.
A meaningful family tradition I have is, me and my dad and stepmom watch every Harry Potter movie, during christmas time.  Today in class we went over peoples, names, and the stories and the culture behind those names. Today I learned how important symbols are, towards one culture

Three Goals I Want to Achieve this Year

One goal that I would like to accomplish this year, is to win the state tournament in Ultimate Frisbee, for the fourth year in a row. I would also like to finish senior year with As, and Bs. This would greatly benefit me, and the chances of getting the hope scholarship. I want to figure out, and research a career path, and look deeper into colleges, I need more of an adult when it comes to school. Now that I am a senior, its not as easy to lollygag, and come out ahead, you have to work harder now, and less later. These goals could greatly influence me, and my future, which explains why they were my choices.
